    Poem Commentary

    I wrote this for my nephew, or so I think.

    Stay Forever

     I'm sitting in my room listening to the rain
    nothing else to do as it falls on my window pane
    wish that I could explain the way it makes me feel

    I feel better everyday when the sun shine goes away, cause then I
    know you'll stay, with me.

    The clouds ahead are dark and dreary but I want fear no not anything
    cause you are here with me at least for the moment, and thats good enough
    for me

    we can take a walk down by a sleepy sea with no one else, only you and me
    with no where else to go and no where else I'd rather be
    and even though its raining, no one's complaning, cause their's no body hear, except you and me

    so let it rain, rain forever so we can stay here together
    as long as it is stormy weather I know you'll stay with me

    oh please don't leave me, not ever cause I just can't stand the sunny weather
    and when you're here I'm always better so please just stay with me

    and I'll sing, rain, rain come this way, never ever go away
    please why can't you stay with me....Forever.

    but the sun shine is so harsh at times it blinds and burns, the rain offers refreshment, peace and tranquility, and it reminds me that there is a God, and he loves to water the flowers.

    A peculiar piece, kind of eccentric, as against sunshine, but the expression of the longing is there....the longing for that company in the rain. The poet finds comfort somehow, finds a cuddling moment that she wants to last with the rain. Great writing!
