Still You...After All These Time

I wonder if thoughts of me cross your mind,
just as image of you does haunt me still,
i wish i could leave everything behind,
if only to defeat this winter chill.

Have you forgotten the love we once shared,
have you over-shadowed it with hate,
are you stronger than i, were you prepared,
when salvation came... a minute too late.

Why am i having a hard time letting go,
no amount of pretense could hide what's true,
that underneath this winter blanket of snow,
the embers of love, only glows for you.
