    Stolen Moments

Stolen moments, the words of a song, singing the tale of a love that is wrong,.
A love blessed by heaven but not by man, a love that is doomed, like a house built of sand.
Know I that your heart will never be mine, or that your eyes will never shine for me, still I cherish if only for moments, your sound, your arms and those moments you share with me.
There are no words that come to mind, that speaks the feelings of a heart that’s blind,
Blind of time, of space, and weather, just waiting for the moments that we are together.
I wake in the night, no arms do I feel, no sounds do I hear, and no scent of the love that once laid so near.
If the moon and the stars ceased to shine, and the sun never rose, and the earth turned cold, what would it matter if I didn’t have you to see, to hear or to hold.
Once there was laughter, tears of joy fell like rain, now there is sadness, a heart filled with pain.
A heart is broken, out of sight, out of mind, sadly the ending of a love that is blind.
No words can heal a heart that’s broke, or dry the tears that flow so free, oh; I would gladly sacrifice this heart if it were for fate to smile on me
I watch as the sunset disappears into the night, I watch as my love disappears out of sight.
Good bye my love, words like hot stones that fall, good bye my love, no more shall I call.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
