     Summer Crush 32  Lines

    The year was 1993,
    I was 11, she was 14,
    But then was the cutest girl Id ever seen,
    I was destined to be her prince charming,
    And keep her away from the alarming,

    Boys that felt the same,
    She truly was a sweet dame,
    I tell you i liked this girl with all my heart,
    She would be my special, sweet, pop tart,
    No boy or man was right for her except me,
    For in my heart i knew I could make her happy,

    I wished I played the Cornet to perfection,
    So that sweet sounds can hit her without rejection,
    But I played the alto horn in music camp,
    Damn thing always gave me a hand cramp,

    Oh in case your wondering thats where this takes place,
    In the Santa Monica mountains where youll find peace and grace,
    But back to her, my summer love,
    Or at least love I desired, a sweet dove,

    At the campire I wanted her to sit next me or me to her, so thst she could be mine,
    But her group was at best close, the space was like streching my spine,

    I cant explain the feeling, only the passion that burned in me,
    I wanted this girl to be my summer love, however long that would be,
    And while I never got with her in that way, Ive only yearned for women few times such as this,
    On a summer crush that wooed me so, so much so it was full of bliss.
