    summer lover

in the hum of the summer sun
    we soaked and sin together
we sit apart but want each other
    that happy self- indulgent laughter
    we swear forever
    spill vodka
    cat-call and curse each other
smoke weed together as we swealter
prentending to be lovers that hate each other
caress the skin of one another
by the blush of the bonfire
your heart beat was hot, fast and irregular
    and I, no better
flushed, bold, and mind in a cluttered
    your fingers in my hair
    tangeled together
    playing lovers
    maybe just for the summer
but right now that dosnet matter.
