Surrender to Myself

Surrender to Myself

The below is from my second book Life, Work and Play: Poems and Short Stories, available on www.authorhouse.com, www.amazon.com and www.bn.com

Surrender to Myself

Flowing — my silk garments in the haze.

I have learned to be

A Great Ballerina.

The days of practice and

Sweat were wroth it.

I accomplished what I said.

I conquered all.

They applauded —

More for me than for anyone else.

I bowed.

I felt inside My Soul

My Nature

Myself

I saw that it had not changed

from the first workout to the
Peak Performance.

I surrendered to Myself

In Silence.

It is that Self that

I Love.

A great little spirited write with much to say. Part of Life, Work and Play, great title to a collection, well done.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
