    Synthetics

I am the electric diet of the Olsen twins.
I am the static between the whore
And the business man with three kids.
I am the synthetic tie of the Enron men.

And when you string yourself up in your closet,
I’ll be the static rope that intervenes
    Between your hopes and causes.

    So pull the plug.
    So pull the trigger.
    So kick the stand.
I’ll be waiting in the sand.

    Sidewinder.
    Systematic fuck.
    Coffee burn.
    Paper pusher.
    Worthless fuck.

    Finally some honest, passionate words!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
