Tablet of Truth

Tablet of Truth

Thunder rips through the Heavens
Writing words upon my heart
Transcibing messages
from world's apart

I was given something
when I was born
to give to you
for I had sworn.

Long ago before our Sun of time
I carry something
I carry a sign

My heart is a tablet
for your eyes to read
I handed it over
it's yours to keep

Carry it precious
Carry it deep
Hold on to that tablet
It's the saving you seek

Truth is written upon the grain
of a wooden heart
symbolizing man's pain

It's patient love
will embrace you whole
So take it with you
wherever you go.

Save it's sadness
Save it's grace
Save it's hapiness
Save it's place.

Let it speak to your heart
Let it breathe in your soul
let it live in your mind
Let it be when you're blind.

It is a tablet of truth
that I cannot speak
For the words that are written
Only for your eyes to see.
