    Tail Lights Reflecting In My Eyes

    I stood…sobbing in the cold rain                                         

    Watching you drive away

    Your tail lights reflecting in my eyes

    And I…wiped the tears from my face

    Shook my fist and in desperation

    I begged you to come back and stay

    And as my tears fell down

    Mixing with the cold wet ground

    I sank to my knees

    Begging you please…

    Please…turn around

    I sat…crying in the rain

    And thinking of today

    What could I have said to change your mind?

    About leaving…I screamed once again

    And I beat the pavement til I bled…

    Laying on the cold wet ground

    My tears falling down…

    I begged you please…

    Please…turn around

    Written so very well, Rita. One can feel the anguish and pain and also the cold, wet rain pouring down upon them whilst reading your awesome poem.
