    Take My Picture When I'm Sleep

     

    　

    As I lay down to sleep to rest

    that's when my thinking is paused

    and I have no cause

    to be upset.

     

    I need you to take my picture now

    because now I'm at my best.

    the sounds are absent

    and I'm at peace

    I need not mention

    I'm at attention

    because I'm asleep.

     

    The stars will still shine

    the moon will glow

    the picture you show

    everyone will know

    I'm at my best

    because I'm asleep

    to rest.

    I enjoy the meter of this work. I would love to hear it read out loud by the author. I interperate the subject as having passed on , at her best, with G-d , the last verse , heavenly conotation. I loved it and It made me feel peaceful as well. Nice piece.

    Hi Captaininsight, yeah thanks for your comment, after I wrote that poem,I realized how it could be interpreted as having passed on, but fortunately it's about a living soul.
