    Tears for Jimmy

    Indescribeable...
    The disbelief in my heart
    the day when they told me you had gone
    Like so many others,
    thankless junkies who
    lived a life of foolish regret...
    I have everything to thank you for.
    For the rest of my life will never
    ever be the same as it would've
    been before...
    Your life was rich and full of promises...
    Such striking contrast
    between that and those
    walking corpses polluting everything;
    Grief stricken mothers...
    Ruined lives...never stood a chance....
    Self control handed over for
    the sake of nothingness...
    Evil...
    From the doctors to Pfizer
    to the street pharmacists;
    Everyone stays paid...
    Unnatural addiction;
    Paid the ultimate price
    over and over and over again;
    You were never one of them...but
    Death knows no difference...

    death is imminent yet we still marvel at is existence, thousands die daily but for those close to us or whom we know we cry faintly. life death and taxes surely we pay a price for sins of our ancestors that lived a lie

    I can relate to this poem with life's experiences. I am glad to see someone else writes some what like the way that I do

    Death knows no difference indeed. True words. I liked the "walking corpses" line. I could fit a lot of people I know with that label. Good write

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
