    Tears Of Joy

     It's easy to think of your troubled past
    Or how relationships never last
    I'm glad those days have finally gone
    Now my heart sings a different song
    All my life I've been down on myself
    I felt at times I had nothing left
    Making excuses for things I didn't avoid
    Now I opened my eyes and only cry tears of joy

    I didn't appreciate all that I had
    I blamed the world because I felt sad
    It's no one's fault for the choices I've made
    I wasn't forced to play the games I played
    No more excuses for things I didn't avoid
    Now I only cry tears of joy

    Once I got my mind off of me
    I started to look up at the trees
    I walked around the yard for hours
    I felt and smelled of all the flowers
    Then I decided to sit on the ground
    I remembered how blessed I really am
    Don't want excuses or things to avoid
    I only feel like crying tears of joy

    It's strange how a stranger became my friend
    He made me realize I want to live again
    I know longer look at the world with disgrace
    Every single blessing I want to embrace
    No more sadness or being coy
    Just loving life and crying tears of joy
