Tell the World

  • Well, here goes nothing. Really. I'm not doing anything.

Tell the World

Let it be known to all the world that joy offic'ly has unfurled!
Call out unto the mountaintops and fields a-filled with many crops!
Tell all the world this blissful day that happiness is here to stay!
Shout it out from home to home, from sea to sea with foam to foam
Across the world's green country side that this new joy comes in a tide
That ends not with some dreary end, but's worth much trouble to defend.
This joy's a thing eternal here, now make the world give you its ear
So you may shout the joyful news that Jesus once was in your shoes.
He knows when you feel alone, and when your heart sinks like a stone
But more than this, he knows just you, and wants you to know him too.

Your poem hads a great melody and is very happy :D

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
