    Texan Stars

    Star light, star bright

I don't need to wish because I'm free tonight

Texan terra firma beneath my feet

the fresh air never smelled so sweet

No one knows me, no one cares

    only "Howdy's" and uneasy stares

Locked inside myself wondering what to do

when all I see is strange and everything is new

I'm lost in a world I do not know

trying to discover if I still have a soul

My body's my temple that I'm trying to repair

no more sitting on my Easy Chair

    Attempting to take what's mine

sipping on the world like it's fine wine

    Unforseen hurdles await

as I keep myself in this sober state

Love is lost, Love is gained

but only through blood, tears, and pain

I do wish that at least one person could see

that I've finally, almost, remembered how to be me.
