you ever wonder what a simple thank you means
how the words courage and courageous heals
something so absolutely minute just gleams
and helps with how everyone feels.

someone sent me some kind words today
and they lifted my heart full of love
knowing that at the end of what everyone has to say
there are few who read and want to be a part of

someone took a second to understand for a moment
something that comes from so deep in my heart
taking the time to write the kind words he sent
kept me from falling apart.

my thank you goes out to this person now
and im thankful god still has a small part in our lives
and one day with the grace of friends knowing how
to make the pain stop cutting thru me like knives!
