Poem Commentary

People (Dr. types and such) who say parents and children should not be friends, well.....they're just wrong.

Thank You

(Dedicated, with all my love, to my very best friend)

You are the rock that holds me up when I am unable

to stand on my own

You are the voice of reason when my insanity

gets too tight a hold

Every time I find myself lost, you are the beacon

that guides my way home

You are the glue that holds me when I fall apart; it

seems to have bonded us together

You are the guardian angel that has watched over me

and saved me from myself

You are the ever-persistent teacher who never

let me give up on myself

You are the best friend who has always stood

by me, even when you hated my choices

You are the loving arms that comfort me every time

life knocks me down

Simply, you are my mom.

Thank you
