    That Same Moon

I know your in the distance
Watching the moon from your window
I imagine it shining on your face
As your smiling in it's glow
    Do you see that star
The one that seems so near
It's the one I pray upon
When I'm wishing you were here
Do you close your eyes and feel me
    The way I'm feeling you
Lay your hand upon your heart
And know I'm doing it too
I know your out there somewhere
    Watching that same moon
Let's fold our hand's and pray real hard
That the Lord will lead me to you

I take this as someone waiting for the special someone to light up their heart. Knowing that you are very special will add the ivory to the keys.

If I had been the one you wrote this for, I would want to climb through this computer screen to be with you. That was so special. I'll be thinking of this poem for a while. I enjoyed it that much. TS

This is perfect and beautiful - just enough words to share the closeness that all distant lovers reach out for from afar. Excellent!

This seems to be so true.. I like the way the words flow toghter very nicely.. and it seems to way a lot in a few words..

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
