The Ability to Move and the Will to Stay

    One of the darkest nights.
On one of the most dreadful days.
    You hear no aproval
    You hear no praise.
    Everything is silent.
    No one hears a sound.
    Nothing is happening.
    Everything is still.
    Your ability to move
Is shot down by your will
    To stay.

    Everything goes black.
You see nothing in the dark.
You hear nothing in the air.
You can either move or stay.
    But your ability to move,
Is shot down by your will
    To stay.

    Nothing is happening.
But you feel it in your gut.
    Something is going to happen.
    And no one knows what.
    Everyone is sitll.
    No one makes a sound.
    Not even a breath.
    Everyone knows,
    Their ability to move
Is shot down by their will
    To stay.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
