    The Battle

At last we meet in battle. Both of us have trained for this day... and both of us are ready to die for what we believe. I have looked death straight in the eye,,, never flinching... never showning signs of weakness. I am ready! Are you? Today one of us must die, but it is not my day. It is sad that I know more ways to take a life... than to save one.

hope you dont mind constructive criticism; missed your a in the word straight. Also again; I realize your poetry style is short poems. I honestly think you would grow so much as a poet if you added more detail and expanded your ideas into longer poems. But; just a thought. I like what you do have and the messages. Well done.

Again as noted on another of yours 'why fear death" and are we realy taking a life if all that is taught is true or are we just helping birth..? Life is no meant to be saved just grow on...

This is a deep poem. It makes one really think. Not sure what else to say other than it forces to make one think

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
