    The Black Hole

       The Black Hole

     

     

    Sucked in whole

    like light traveling

    through space

    then nothing

    in an instant

    all light is lost

    in utter darkness

    emptiness everywhere

    in this vacuum

    spiraling down

    into the vortex

    of loneliness

    I am unable to

    catch my breath

    being plunged

    into the unknown

    where severe fear

    leaves me frozen

    with no escaping

    the mysterious

    dark region of reality

    I am pulled in

    as the gravity grows

    in intensity

    all time and space

    are distorted

    so just making it

    through this day

    seems impossible

    with my energy lost 

    leaving me to wonder

    if I  will ever again

    see the light

    at the far reaches

    of this endless tunnel.

    Sometimes it does seem like the light is beyond our reach.... great imagery and use of metaphor!

    isn't life sometimes so much like a black hole... traveling into the unknown not knowing where it will all go.. I love this poem very interesting.
