    The Blushing Rose

She had a look on her face quite shy
looking from under her eyes at her wonderful guy.
Her complexion of that was of a blushing rose
one of her beauties so she was told.

Today was her wedding day all dressed in white
walking down the aisle all was quite.
You could hear the intake of everyone's breath
at the blushing rose and her beautiful wedding dress.

They turned to one another and spoke their vows
In a hushed whisper not to loud.
First he said I do, the came her turn
the blushing rose repeated I do as her stomach churned.

Finally it was over they were husband and wife
time to leave the church and begin their new life.
Never had she looked lovelier than at that minute
the blushing rose was happy and truly meant it.

Wonderful Poem!! I still remember the blush on my wife's face the day that we were married. I think she had never looked more beautiful, in all the time that I had known her, than she did that day to me. Truly pretty poem. Thanks for sharing.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
