The Book Of Life

THE BOOK OF LIFE

Through the pages

of my life I walk,

the story unfolds

one word at a time.

Each experience

a new story to add

to the library

of my memory and soul.

Each character

I meet; a new reason

 to carry on.

Sometimes I want

to stop ;

or detour from the tale,

but the pages keep turning.

The hand of time

controls the story,

it's length, depth and plot.

I know not where

the storyline leads,

or on what page

my character will die.

But I read on ;

anxious to read

the final page,

anxious for the tale to end .

Very nice. I like this. We are all in the process of writing our story and we never know what the tale will be until we live it. Yet the tale never ends really, does it?

a wise and profound analogy on life with a touch of darkness woven into the tale. this book is a must read. great thoughts.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
