Poem Commentary

THE CHILD THAT DIDN'T GROW

Though you see a body, a figure, fully blossom, fully grown, it has no light, it has no glow, for here is held a child that did not grow.

No place to turn, no place to run, for a little girl's world is no fun, it has no light , it has no glow, it has a child that didn't grow.

Her innocent she couldn't keep cause it was took  by a thief, who left no light, left no grow, and made the child that didn't grow.

A place no one should be, inside a body so dark, so cold, like a grave with no light,or no grow is a child that didn't grow.

Who will rescue me, from the dark, from the cold, me the child that didn't grow???

Tainted but not destoryed, a child innocent and sweet, precious but weak, for the Lord holds her so deep, for He sees a need to teach, for this little one to reach the light and to glow, for the child that did not grow.

Beginning to speak, about the pain and deceit, and the heavyiness of her heart that runs deep. For the story that's told has grown old, with no light and no glow in this child that did not grow.

Now the Lord came and aplied clay of the spittle giving some light, giving some glow a mirracle for the child that did not grow.

THEN HE SAID:

For this you process,  look to the cross and you'll find rest.

For the hurt that you speak, look to the cross for the answer you seek.

And for the innocent that you lost, look to the cross.

For the heaviness of your heart, look to the cross where your Savior is sought.

And your life you think you lost, look to the cross where life was brought.

Causing her spirit to light and her radiance to glow in the child that didn't grow.

With deliverance giving and victory won, the Lord said, look at what I've done !!  I've given you my only Son.

Now the child has a heart that shines and a smile that glows,   For I Am The Child That Did Not Grow.

Oh this child grew and grew and grew, in the Lord. And the funny thing is once you get involved with him you may slip and falter but you never go back. You get a long leash and he'll let you wander a bit but when the time comes he'll yank his property right back where it belongs. So all of us who once were lost and now are found can lean on those everlasting arms forever. This is 100% beautiful, full of pain sorrow and triumph. You have done it again like you always do. be blessed my sister.

It seems to me that you grew a heck of a lot. This poem really presents your maturity and courage to face your fears, no matter how painful they may be. Good stuff.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
