    The Clown

the clown hides behind his mask of many colors
    watching, waiting
on the hunt for one who looks at the world with child like wonder
a tattered soul and torn wings
    she is still trusting... searching
    for her lover, her soulmate
the perfect target for the clown
    he uses his pretty promises
    and sugar coated lies
tempting the little fairie to let down her guard
    offering romance and passion
    but most of all honesty
all the while hunting for anther conquest
adding another tear to the fairies pale wings
    the clown moves on.
