The Cold (Patronizing)
I’m fixin to leave now, planned it out before
Drew that damn map and stuck it to the door,
It’s there to remind me why I left from the start
Blowin’ newspapers and flipped shopping carts
Color left along with the warmth
Of meeting familiar faces and ones that weren’t
Well what the hell did you expect
When you left me out in the cold ?
That I’d fit right back into things
Like it was some television show ?
You know the ones you hated, the ones I loathed.
You say you know the cold
You don’t know shit except when to tell me so.
So tell me so, tell me something more interesting than that
This has got to be the most boring leave,
The most dry laugh,
Oh HAHAHA
HAHAHAHA
You say you know the cold ?
I saw the snow brush out your face
Frost bite tore up your mouth
It ate up your legs
I don’t recognize you no more
You wouldn’t recognize me either,
Not that you’d want to anyways
Not that you would want to.
Drew that damn map and stuck it to the door,
It’s there to remind me why I left from the start
Blowin’ newspapers and flipped shopping carts
Color left along with the warmth
Of meeting familiar faces and ones that weren’t
Well what the hell did you expect
When you left me out in the cold ?
That I’d fit right back into things
Like it was some television show ?
You know the ones you hated, the ones I loathed.
You say you know the cold
You don’t know shit except when to tell me so.
So tell me so, tell me something more interesting than that
This has got to be the most boring leave,
The most dry laugh,
Oh HAHAHA
HAHAHAHA
You say you know the cold ?
I saw the snow brush out your face
Frost bite tore up your mouth
It ate up your legs
I don’t recognize you no more
You wouldn’t recognize me either,
Not that you’d want to anyways
Not that you would want to.
