    Poem Commentary

Rain is essential to the essence of my soul and creativity. It is a very essential need in my life.

The Day I Fell in Love with Rain

I cannot explain when this love affair began. Maybe, when I was just a child, picking daisies on a rainy day. I heard the drops, loud and strong beating overhead, making me long to be drenched in its song. It's the rain I hear and it never ceases to bring that inner peace I long for and need to write this poem. My best days are days drenched with God's tears. I feel the sensation that I long to feel. When it rains, I am happy so many are sad But something about the rain just makes me glad. The smell of the freshness and cleanliness of grass the trees glisten aftewards and clap their green hands. Rain for me is a gift I treasure It is a need that in no way I can measure. The clear drops are diamonds from the air and I am thankful that on earth they fall everywhere. Rain never leave me. Rain never go. You are my inspiration for my poetry that flows.

Love this! Thank you for sharing your love for the rain! After many years in Cali I am sure grateful for this rainforest I live in :)

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
