The Devil Was Seen In Nashville
The Devil went sight seeing, down there in good ole Nashville, Tennessee, see he had a ticket, for the good ole "Grand Ole Opry", you see he won it from, some unfortunate musical soul, who told the Devil, why if you just let me go, I could provide youwith many more country born singing souls
see the Devil had lost one soul, and said, never again
so he said look son, this was the wager, and why, you just didn't win, but the foolish young man, just kept on begging
and the Devil thought, maybe I'll just hear this one out
whats the odds of me, losing again, and said to the foolish young man, so what gives, and he told him, a very colorful story
and said that's about all he knew, and the Devil just laughed, and said, this just happens, to be your lucky day, I take that bet and that ticket too, and if I get more than two singing souls, you will just be on your way, with a few new friends, and maybe some old, to help you on your last day, to my vacation hell hide away, Once you get there
there's no burning back, and like the sound of thunder
he laughed, and the Devil was on his way
