Sometimes life’s tragedies
Put us behind a closed door
Then we have to decide whether
To walk through it or it or keep it closed
Then our true character shows
The courage to open it
Will show us the light
To keep it closed will keep us
Always bound up in fear
The courage to walk through it
Will keep the love of Jesus near
With him besides us we can conquer all
Or we can choose to stay and fall
He never meant for us to stay
Behind anyone’s closed door
He wants us out
So he can show us more
He wants us to see the life of love
He has put inside us and keep
Us from behind life’s closed doors
He wants us out living in victory
So we can with him write
A brand new chapter in history
So when the door seems closed
Open it wide
And see what Jesus has put inside
The binding of boundaries that
Keep us bound up within
Sometimes are directly linked
To some kind of deeply embedded sin
