The Easy Way Out
I took what I have started
I said I ended what I wanted
And said that there was no truth but You
I shot at who I was
A corpse left rotting out in the middle of the sun
My hair still growing
My eyes still rolling
And desperate at the feet of the one I love
I still love her
She still grows older
And I’m still left here rotting
In the same place as where I left off.
I guess its easier to be the victim
In a world where torment overcomes the calm
I said I ended what I wanted
And said that there was no truth but You
I shot at who I was
A corpse left rotting out in the middle of the sun
My hair still growing
My eyes still rolling
And desperate at the feet of the one I love
I still love her
She still grows older
And I’m still left here rotting
In the same place as where I left off.
I guess its easier to be the victim
In a world where torment overcomes the calm
