The Entity I Call My Love

In the darkness the hours are endless,
    ...............hopeless, helpless,
    dragging on and on,
forbidding the light to shine into this gloomy existance.
In the aftermath of a love long dead
I have become oblivious to the world
    I presumably live in.
(night after endless night...night after endless night....................
I feel as if I will drown in the pool of tears I have cried,
and there will be no one around
    to pull me out,
to send the word my pain is no more.
These are pitious words I have written
    selfish and uncaring
as to the feelings of those
    who love me indeed.
I am lost in a world of dillusion.
I have created my own prison walls.
I must be happy here within
as I have made no attempt at escape.
    My soul is bound,
to the memory of a touch............to the sound of a whisper.
Languishing in this feeling of despair
I am happy here..............with the entity...........I call my love.
