    The Eye of the Storm
    Sometimes, I feel not there.
    Floating high above, looking down.
    The confusion, the frenzy,
    I don't feel anything at all.
    I am the calm that holds it together.
    The shrill cries and screams surround me.
    I don't know how I can do it,
    I don't want to be calm,
    I don't want to hear and see,
    I just want to explode.

    Another good poem structurally---here is a thought. Do this as a shape poem and shape it like a funnel cloud. I would kill off the punctuation at the end of each line also.
