    The Fight

    You were the story
    That I couldn't read
    You were the picture
I was too blind to see

    You turned to the west
    I turned to the east
    We were too different
    To really compete

    My eyes were emerald
    Yours were like fire
    But I couldn't fight
    My hidden desire

    Day turned to night
    Black to the sun
    As something within me
    Told me to run

    To run for the horizon
    To never look back
    To never realize
    What I lack

So I listened to the voice
    That made my heart ache
    One more wound
    I just couldn't take

    I ran to the shadows
    I ran to the night
    So no one could see
    My silent fight

    I held my head tightly
    As my tongue lied
    And that may be
    Just how I died

Very interesting. You have the right feel and style and it fits nicely with the words. I am the Editor and Senior Writer for poemvidz.com. I join all the poetry sites because I love to meet aspiring poets that right from the heart as I do. Keep up the good work.
