The final goodbye after the original

A rose is still a rose
A heart is still a heart
    The demise of our love
    Is what tore us apart

Though my heart now cries from it's grave
The depth of it's core can never be saved

My memory still serves me well
    But a dead heart's story
    It shall never tell

A sweet kiss is all it takes
    The opening of wounds
    is what it creates

    It crawls through my skin
    to the surface beneath
from the curling of my toes
to the grinding of my teeth

Tis better to have loved and lost
than to have never loved at all
I've found it is better to stand
    than it is to fall.
