The Flame

The Flame

Some compose

While others slumber

Dancing with insomnia

A burning desire to create

Like lust

The pressure,

The need to be fulfilled

The world’s a playground enticing the mind

Is it the:

Mysteries of life

Political charades

Modifications of the law,

Privation, outlaws created

Family dysfunction hidden in a box

One must not tell what all already knows

Lost love

Frail hearts redact

For writing is medicine

The heat

The urge

The sensation

Words manipulating

Escaping

Longing to reach paper
