    The Forbidden Fruit



    I'm the one you asked for
    in your moment of doubt
    I'm the one you lust for
    allegiance so devout

    You allowed me within
    a path of want and need
    A bright shiny apple
    holds the forbidden seed

    Breaking through your boundaries
    I slowly take control
    the rapture of your will
    pleasure pays the toll

    With each passing moment
    your fate slowly sealed
    I dine on your essence
    The beast is now revealed

    wow - I sense an undertone here that is...quite beastly (although not quite in sync with the erotic overtone) - could that be?...yes, I think I've got it now..... still a 10, but then you always are.

    EDITED ************************************************************************ Artie,if we examine your poem on a metaphysical plane, I don't think the "Beast" is yet revealed. Angel, you may be right, that the Devil is a mythical fabrication to justify what is innate in Man. The bottom line poses a problem If there is no Devil, . is there God? What we need to accept is that man is a product of good and evil, from the beginnIng,(He was not made good, buta noble savage, with a creative brain). We need no misleading story of Eve (unless we accept this story as a metaphorical fable of desperation to explain the origin of Man) falling under the spell of the devil to compensate for the original nature of man. Homo sapiens developed over many centuries of evolution. There is no rational explanation up to now as to how "Creation" came about. It's a good thing the Great Architect of the Universe bestowed on Man the power to think,as well as the freedom to think. It is dangerous that Man's greed for power over his fellows, tend to stultify this freedom. Creation is tragically devoid of a scientific explanation. Wwll! If we look at your poem from a sexual perspective, "the beast in your poem is un-obstrusively revealed with an erotic insinuation. A clever poem.replete with sexual innuendos??.....Is this poem an oblique allusion? It is sometimes a clever crime not to say outrightly what you mean .................LOL My rating for perfect crafting is 10+

    ok artie..... i think i may need to go take a cold shower now........this is a very hot poem indeed......with what it says and what is unsaid being just as sexy........very real as well
