The Ghost And The Witch

The Ghost And The Witch

A ghost who walks through the world all alone

With a heart as cold as an ancient bloodstone

There was a time when magic was on his side

And a beautiful witch took his soul for a ride

She said I will be with you through Heaven or Hell

And she blinded and bound him with her wicked spell

She said you are the one with whom I’ll end my days

Through the bleakest storms or the warming sun’s rays

Something went wrong as the spell took it’s hold

She remained young and beautiful but he just grew old

No longer was he the one she loved the most

And the man turned into a bitter old ghost

Haunting and flying and crying forever

Knowing that what was to be now will never

Trying to get that witch out of his head

Wanting to die but he’s already dead

A faded ghost between Heaven and Hell

Searching for some way to break that witch’s spell

The witch she still rides on the wind in the night

And the ghost cries for her under stars and moonlight

an excellent tale. great imagination and storytelling here. Ummm... it is just fantasy, isn't it? I can see these thoughts expanded on and turned into a great animation or film.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
