    The Girl From Around The Way

    I am alone

     

    I am utterly and truly alone

     

    I see everyone with everything

     

    And I have nothing

     

    So, why would you want someone low class, when you can have high class

     

    I am nothing like the girl from around the way

     

    　

    　

    The girl from around the way

     

    With her Gucci bag and pinned up hair

     

    The girl from around the way, the one every guy desires

     

    　

    　

    A high class beauty, with everything going for her

     

    And me, a low class zero

     

    I am nothing

     

    I have nothing

     

    The girl from around the way has money, beauty, brains, and class

     

    Just leave me here with my pack of Marlboros to suffer a slow, miserable death

    im of the mind that there is nothing better than someone with their priorities straight...being high class is annoying, high class is high maintenance...rather spend an evening getting drunk, listening to music and good conversation, eating great homecooked food, and having great sex...but im a lowclass kinda guy

    it would of been sweet revenge in your mind if you ended this with a sort of pride and grace like..instead of saying im here with my pack of marloboros to suffer a slow death. to state that THAT exact scenario is one you enjoy would be kind of bad-ass. p.s. i hate girls like the "roundaway" girl you described. i like finding an imperfection in someone, makes them more real, more raw, which in turn for me makes them more attractive. remember...beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

    Funny, even when I was 9 years old, I tried for the girl from the uptown section (I lived in the lower end of town) of a little community who always dressed and looked impeccable...I was scorned by those girls. But, in the end, I found my life's love on the other side of the tracks, and am living happy ever after. Lovely poem..........................................gogant

    i like this because the "high class beauty" actually makes me think of my girlfriend...because like when she was going to school she told me that her and her friend were always high class beauty. I give you 10
