    The Great White Bird

    High above the spacious skies
Are all the rainbows that softly kiss the ground.
The early morning sun warms me
As I soar freely across the land.

My wings stretch way beyond any star
I move swiftly like an eagle
But yet I glide like a bird with motionless wing
I rise higher than any mountain
    And way beyond any plain.

My movements are graceful and spectacular
    My colors are radiant
My eyes are piercing but yet gentle to look upon.

I follow my heart and my dreams
Where I shall land no one knows
    My freedom is cherished
    Like the oceans beneath me
Come fly with me in the spacious skies
And kiss the rainbows as I do.

Feel my freedom, warm yourself as I do
    With the early morning sun
Learn what it is like to follow all the dreams of your heart.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
