the high cost of lowlife

the high cost of lowlife

when they say 'grow up' do they mean
'put through the grinder'?
because a lesson always comes with a
painful reminder
of innocence lost
or a bill you couldnt pay
like the people hurt by words
u did or didn't say
while the bodies piled up
you swept the dust under the rug
and let injustices occur
because u couldn't be bugged

thanks for all your encouraging words. im glad u liked it :)

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
