THE LACK OF LOVE IN LIFE

To see the lack of Love in Life, and to wonder why?

Why do Human Beings hold back their real, deep compassion?

As their thoughts of good deeds travel somewhat short distances,

And then fall-down to humbly die?

Why is Love so hard to share with a simple, ordinary, passing stranger?

And why are the ones closest to us the least of all benefactors of such love?

Can’t the same heavenly Love flow down to a waiting earth,

And just a stretch further, toward the soul of a compassionless man?

Can’t the spirit of Him whom expressed the ultimate love,

Be the source that moves us toward the arms of our hurting brother?

Can we not duplicate the perfect Love, of the Wonderful God above?

To see the lack of Love in Life, and to wonder why!

because sometimes..we forget how important they are (the closest people) when they are close to us, we only appreciate thier presence when they are gone..such a pity..

Very good questions . Today i was told it was foolish to tell people God loves them because how do I know what God loves. I was at a loss for words at the moment. god is love but I guess I was not at all articulate at that moment. I certainly hope that wecan duplicate that perfect love. Great write,

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears" If we can only soak in the meaning of these words....Indeed, we would avoid all the pain and we would no longer wonder why there is so much LACK OF LOVE IN LIFE! As usual, your words are full of meaning and touched by the spirit of God. Thank you for always thinking of me. Your blessings are always needed!

Interesting read, orson. It's so true... and I think that technology helps us to further be disconnected from one another. We're too engrossed in our laptops, ipods, cellphones, etc. that we seldom have the chance to talk to one another face to face. Love is freely given to us by God, so we should want to give it away freely as well...

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
