    The Last Goodbye

Shattered dreams and a broken heart,
In this life we vowed never to depart.
Now I stand broken, torn, and all alone,
with no one or nothing to really call my own.

Hurt and pains from the past you took away.
You showed me love and that with you there would always be a brighter day.
For my defensive wall to come down was your request, so I strived to do just that and to give you my very best.

I could have, should have, would have, now is what i say, but it's too late, for we've severed all ties, burned all bridges, and both have gone our separate ways.

You remain in my heart always, at all times, day and night.
Remembering the good, the bad, and the ugly, but still I loved you inspite.
Now since you've destroyed my trust in you, my spirit, my belief that there's love out there for me, or shall I say someone that truly loves me, I lie dormant and in wait.

Many things were said and done, tempers flew and many battles fought,
Some good, some bad, some won and some lost.
Now the journey is finally over, no more tears, hurt and pains that caused my heart to contributed more than it could have possibly cost.

So sadly and hesitantly to the end of the road we've come, wishing you well and praying that you and that special person walk hand in hand, happily into the golden sun.

Loving you forever and always my love.

This was real, sad, daunting, but with such a level of maturity and acceptance I wanted to cry no! no! no! true love must never end. If only we humans weren't so human we couldn't be hurt so much. I often wonder that if among those animals that mate for life if one annoys the other do they just bite and scratch until the winner is declared. sounds silly but they do mate for life and I wonder how they achieve that.

You had alot of images you played out very well but, the only think I really thought you lagged was it was too personal for just any reader to draw from I think you wrote this to a specified person which is good and all but as for the masses this wou
