    The Last Kiss

    At the onset of sunrise,
as the sky illuminates pastel colors of light,
I only shed a tear, perhaps fear, will hold me tonight.
    As your hand touches mine,
and I feel the nervousness within your skin.
I cannot help but wonder, when I will see you again.
They say tours of duty, are but time periods in hell,
After today, perhaps I will experience this as well.
My only regret, that the night did not have mercy upon us, and give us more time.
As the clocks quickly displays the seconds,
and the minutes turn into hours,
the ride to the station seems ongoing, despite the appearance of meadow flowers. Perhaps the kiss shall linger, as long as geisha's scent,
but perhaps my life cease to exist, after the last kiss.

you will always have the memory of that one last kiss, great write

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
