    The Life Cycle Of Love

    My love lies sleeping
    Undisturbed, softly breathing
The heart that beats against the sheets
    Though unheard is felt

    Every ache, every pain
    Every joy, every triumph
    Every disappointment, every hurt
    Every smile, every laugh

    Comfortable, enduring
    Stable, reliable
    Warm and lovely

No flash of sudden overtaking passion
    Still real and wonderful
    Full and enduring
    Time to love, just love

Looking upon the love there sleeping
A full heart, a full life
    Thankful and prayerful
    For this never ending story

    This is but a chapter
In a book of love eternal
    The quiet chapter
    Where life and love co-mingle

    There will be shaking
    Turbulence good and bad
    The see-saw of life
Tilting one way then the other

    The balancing act goes on
    Thank you for the ride!

A life's rollercoaster. The thrilling ride that we are never TOO scared to get on. This is simply beautiful. I love the passion in which you write your pieces. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for your comment. I am ver passionate about everything which sometimes is a curse more than a blessing...but alas I am who I am.

I love the way you parried the upside with the down, but kept it all about the plus's with this piece... I love happy endings... Good write...

The words softy spell what the heart has reveled, a soul that is full, her retrospective ideal.

I wish it were still so, but alas all things must end!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
