    THE LIGHT

When the light began to shine
    and the moon invented time
When the stars became the universe
and the planets fell in line ...

You became a part of me.
What it is, was always meant to be.
When the tale is being told again,
    the truth will never bend
and the story doesn't end here
     ... My friend.

When I look into your eyes, I see ...
a bigger , better, part of me
In another place and time, maybe
I'll be everything I want to be.

You'll always be a part of me.
What it is, was always meant to be.
When the tale is being told again,
    The truth will never bend,
and the story doesn't end here
    ... My friend.

right from the very first line you took this and its flow was steady as a metronome

Well that makes sense because most of the stuff I post on here are actually song lyrics that have been set to music already, so there's got to be a certain "cadance/timing" to it ... but I'm very flattered just the same , that you picked up on that. Thanks again.

The invention of the history book almost solved the capture of what is... But, for every thousand words written of our lives and our loves, there will always be another thousand moments left out of the summary... It's only true completion, is carried only within ourselves... A very good write here...

Very nice poem. The eyes of the sole are though the heart of the eyes, where happiness and sadness and fulfillness lies. I like your thoughts on this poem.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
