    • I've been gone for quit some time but I'm back and ready to write more poetry.

    The Little Girl

She would come to school everday
    in torn and taterd cloths
    always long slived shirts
    to cover her bursis
    from the night before.

    The little girl
    is always so scared
    never says a word
she is a straight A student
    and no one knows
    how lonely she is.

    Who will stand up
    and save the little girl
we all pretend to be blind,
    maybe its just that we
    dont wanna believe
    what we do see.

    The little girls mom
    is always passed out
    on their couch at home,
    and her dad is always
    in a drunkin rage,
    never giving her
    kissis and hugs
    oh how sad that poor
    little girl.

    The teacher finally asked
    her one day
    "Honey are you ok?"
    the little girl
    just looke down
    lifted her sleves
    and told her secert,
    now the little girl
    lives in a new home
    and gets
    hugs and kissis everyday.

A wonderful touching story. I wish that there were happy endings for all little girls and little boys.. T64

Ahh, how happy this poem ends, isn't always the case ans I wasn't sure if it would. But it's great poetry like this that raises awareness so more children can escape the cruel world of child abuse. Nice work.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
