The Loss of Lenore
David was sitting and reading a book all alone, the night was so quiet not even a ring from the phone.He started to nod into a silent sleep, the darkness had fallen heavy and deep.
It was then David would think of the past, back to when his dear sweet loves death went so fast.
Poor David could never forget his precious Lenore, he would love her even after death forever more.
They had went out to walk around, the day was so peaceful without a sound.
They were speaking of marriage the day before, he could not wait to have forever his beautiful Lenore.
Just then he remembered the worst part of the memory, a guy with a gun he could not see.
He flinched at the thought because he knew what was to come, the sound of the gun shot had made him go numb.
He had hoped he got shot instead of her but he ran out of luck, a shocked expression on her face it was stuck.
Right then the tears rolled down his face, all he wanted was to take her place.
He would have ran for help against this horrible crime, but all the blood gushing out told him there was not enough time.
She had been shot right in the heart, David did not want them to spend her last minutes apart.
“I’ll always remember your beautiful face” he said full of love, she replied “I’ll always love you and I’ll watch from above”
With that last word her heart had stopped, her hand on his cheek to the ground it dropped.
Coming back to reality he did not like so much, to realize he can never again feel her touch.
The proposal he had wrote and never got to tell, would make his life without her a living Hell!!
