    The Love I Have

The love I have for you is so strong,

To not have it would be wrong,

All my life I have searched for the one,

And as of now my search is done,

    some day you will see,

that we are meant to be,

without you my life is dull,

and everything that I feel is cold,

for the warmth of your voice brings me life,

and the thought of not having you stabs me like a knife,

could it be that you are my soul mate,

and that when I die you will be there at the gate,

of which represents the end my life,

will you be there to hold me tight,

will you be there to hold my hand,

for without you in my life I cannot understand,

if not there is no reason to go on,

for being without you would be wrong,

you are the one I want to dream about when I sleep,

the only one I want to keep,

I will always love you till I take my last breath,

And until there is nothing in me left.

Well I think for your age you showed real, deep emotion in this poem, I felt truth in every word, and could see true love.

very good write..altho i think the sentence "of which represents the end my life" isnt necessary...but other than that very well done

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
