The Mask

The Mask

Can you see it?
The mask I hold
before myself.
Can you see past it?
Look into my pleading eyes
into my soul.
Can you feel it?
Feel the vile pain
that was brought upon me.
Can you hear it?
My soundless cries
shrieking for help.
Can you taste it?
Taste the iniquitous poison
that this world nourished me with.
The mask covers it all.

Yea many people where mask for diffrent reasons.its always great when you can live without the mask an be yoself an dont feel bad about it.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
