the not so immaculate

on the eve of mans dawn
angels flittered about with calm
sensing change that was needed
warnings flared but never heeded
will their be joy in their life
or will it be filled with strife
as i see the angels flight
wings spread afar under the moon's light
as the shadows grow across the land
witnessing the dawn of man
the angel's hope begins to bloom
shedding light through out the gloom
and then with thunderous roar
mans destiny sealed forever more
immaculate, not so it seems
exceeding man's wildest dreams
spirits soar in the hours to come
and never shall this be undone
to live their shame for eternity
to play their game for all to see

Angels, guides, bearers of hope and destiny are in the fabric of the mind and in the realm of visions. In them we find comfort, with them we feel secure and their touch awakens in us a desire to know; a flame burning both day and night.

Well...look-ee-there, Ma! He does have a brain! And a right smart one ta boot. Loved it even if you decided to leave out the jelly goodies.

Do not be fooled, this was a joint effort with Ladynight and Rygar. I still don't have a complete brain. I also tried to put a donut into the poem, but they vetoed it.

Thank you!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
