Poem Commentary

(This poem was submitted in today's poetry challenge (6.4.09) in the forums with the topic "THE OCEAN." I decided to use that for the title.)

I imagine someone who comes to the ocean for peace and release of all their sins, worries, etc. beneath the tide. That's the concept of this poem. A dark way to look at this poem is that this is someone who comes to end it all in the ocean.

Mighty current splashing 'round
Lost in nothing but the sound
I close my eyes and take it in
And hope to wash away my sin

Bathing up to neck in suds
Buried soul beneath the flood
As far as eye can see the light
The horizon has no end in sight

Infinity and beyond, its line
Connects these waters to the sky
So what I shed within this wet
I hope the heavens will forget.

I realy can relate and immerse in the water of your words. Thanks for sharing what believers wish to shed and forget, to be more like our Lord.

THE WATER THAT SPRINGS THE ISSUES OF LIFE, BURIED IN THE DEEP, SCATTERED BY IT WAVES, FORGOTTEN AND CEASED IN THE DAZE, ALL MIRRORED IN AN OCEAN! PHENOMENALLY PENNED!

Thanks for reading. Have a blessed day ;-)

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
